The Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God is the parish church of Nea Epidavros. A silver reliquary holds the relics of Saint Leonides and the seven women honoured with him. Local tradition links the discovery of the relics in 1917 to the separate Church of Saint Leonides east of the historic settlement.
