Propylon of the Banqueting Hall and Temple of Hygieia

Monumental gateway and Roman temple

This propylon formed the monumental entrance on the northwest side of the Banqueting Hall. In the second century AD it was converted into a small temple of Hygieia. The restored section conveys the scale of the entrance. The Great Propylon, which gave access to the sanctuary as a whole, stands farther north.
