The remains of the castle of medieval Lygourio lie on a rocky height in the foothills of Mount Arachnaion, northeast of the present town. A record from 1364 lists the castle among the strongholds of the Castellany of Corinth. Low stretches of the defensive wall and the remains of a cistern are visible on the hill. The ground is steep and uneven. Seek local route information before approaching on foot.
