Incubation stoa
In the long stoa north of the Temple of Asklepios, patients spent the night after ritual purification. They hoped that the god would appear in a dream and reveal a cure. The hall stands beside the Tholos. Seen together, these buildings help explain how ritual and healing shaped the sanctuary. In the DIAZOMA Association’s digital tour “Walking with Apellas”, the Abaton is the second stop after the Temple of Asclepius.
